The Forensic expert kollegium conducts polygraph tests of citizens who are about to get married.

It's great when marriages are made in heaven, but sometimes some details in the actions or reservations of the engaged cause disturbing doubts in their future spouses. Often, these doubts are groundless and are caused only by excitement before the wedding, but in some cases, the facts hidden by one of the future spouses lead to a dramatic showdown between the newlyweds and a quick divorce. In any case, young people who are about to marry should be sincere with each other in order to ensure the stable development of long-term family relationships.

A polygraph examination of citizens who are about to get married allows to establish:

  • the true reason for marriage (out of love, out of material interest, "to spite" the former lover);
  • the presence of unfinished intimate relationships with other people;
  • the fact of intimate relations with close people (relatives, friends or girlfriends) of the future spouse after the engagement;
  • alleged paternity from the point of view of the future mother in early pregnancy (only in the first trimester);
  • the presence of alcohol, drug or gambling addiction in the future spouse;
  • the presence of outstanding loans or debt obligations to criminal structures;
  • the presence of a criminal record, being under suspicion (accusation) of committing a criminal offense;
  • the presence of hidden health problems, including those preventing the birth of children;
  • the presence of a tendency to violence, sadism, pedophilia, nymphomania, increased depression, etc.

A polygraph test before marriage is carried out only with the voluntary consent of each of the future spouses. The Forensic expert kollegium does not conduct a polygraph test if facts of physical violence (or threats of violence) against the future spouse are detected at the stage of concluding an agreement or a pre-test conversation.

Special psychological examinations of persons before marriage can be carried out in the following scope:

  • examination on a contact polygraph;
  • cognitive interview and contact polygraph examination;
  • a contact polygraph examination and two or more other methods of psychological examination.

Nobody besides the polygraph examiner and the person being tested is under any circumstances allowed to be in the office of the polygraph examiner during the examination. Also, for moral and ethical reasons, neither spouse is given the video recording of the interview procedure when using a polygraph. The customer of this special psychophysiological study should take into account that the conclusion of the polygraph examiner will only confirm or refute the facts listed in the contract for a special psychological study, all other facts revealed during the polygraph examination or during the interview of the polygraph examiner with the examined person will remain in secret.

Before ordering an examination, the future spouses should also carefully read the contraindications to a polygraph test.

The Forensic expert kollegium is the first forensic institution in the Republic of Belarus that provides services for conducting special psychological examinations (tests) using a polygraph, which has successfully passed the certification of the management system for compliance with the requirements of the new version of the state standard STB ISO 9001-2015.
