The Forensic expert kollegium conducts in judicial and pre-trial order all types of forensic commodity expertise, except for the food products expertise.

The subject of forensic commodity expertise is the study of the quality of the goods and the assessment of the degree of their wear, the determination of the repair work price.

There are these following types of forensic commodity expertise:

• forensic commodity expertise of industrial and technical purposes goods;
• forensic commodity expertise of primary products and materials;
• forensic commodity expertise of technical documentation;
• forensic commodity expertise of food products; forensic commodity expertise of non-food consumer goods (the Forensic expert kollegium does not conduct these types of expertise).
