The Forensic expert kollegium conducts tests of all types of electric elevators.
An elevator is a complex technical device that is designed to move people (goods) from one level to another in a cabin. The elevator is a source of increased danger, therefore, each unit must be under strict control in order to protect human life and health, property, and prevent emergencies.
Structurally, the elevator consists of the following elements:
- elevator shaft (including shaft doors);
- a cabin for transporting people (cargo);
- lift suspension;
- counterweight and equalizing weight;
- elevator guides;
- buffer;
- elevator drive;
- elevator safety devices;
- electrical installations and equipment.
Each of the above elements is subject to strict requirements set out in technical regulations. The Forensic expert kollegium has a staff of qualified specialists who are both experts in the engineering and safe operation of elevators and construction passenger and cargo lifts, and certified specialists in various methods of non-destructive testing.
To assess the technical condition of the elevator or to confirm the compliance of the elevator with the requirements of technical regulatory legal acts, experts of the Forensic expert kollegium carry out a comprehensive examination and testing of the elevator and the equipment associated with it. In general, the following tests and examinations are carried out:
- examination of locking devices;
- examination of electrical safety devices;
- examination of suspension parts and their fastenings;
- examination and testing of electrical wiring;
- examination of limit switches;
- examination of the functionality of the alarm device;
- functional tests;
- static loads;
- non-destructive testing of the main elements of the elevator (guides, counterweight, cabin);
- measurement of illumination in the elevator shaft and the elevator car;
- measurement of the noise level generated by the moving car and the electrical equipment of the elevator.
All measurements and tests are carried out using calibrated measuring instruments entered to the State register of measuring Instruments of the Republic of Belarus, according to the methods, established in the technical regulatory legal acts in force on the territory of the Republic of Belarus and the Customs Union.
