The Forensic expert kollegium conducts examinations of woodworking equipment for operability and compliance with the requirements of engineering documentation and technical regulatory legal acts, analysis of the causes of defects and failures of woodworking equipment, destruction of its units and parts.
There is a difference between general and special purpose woodworking equipment. On a technological basis, general-purpose machines are divided into the following types: debarking, sawing frames, band saws, circular saws, longitudinal milling, milling, planing, tenoning, drilling, drilling and grooving, slotting, turning, and grinding.
The design of woodworking machines depends on their purpose. However, differing in design, the machines have units and parts of the same purpose - frames, tables and carriages for basing parts, units for the cutting tool fixation and communicating working movements to it and the workpiece, safety devices, motor mechanisms.
The most common reasons for woodworking machine failures are:
- malfunction of the mechanical part of the machine;
- manufacturing of a foundation of inadequate quality (inconsistency in the shape and area of the foundation cushion, discrepancy in the strength of the concrete solution in the manufacturing of the foundation);
- inconsistency in the diameter and type of foundation bolts, lack of foundation bolts;
- improper adjustment and tuning of the machine;
- improper sharpening and setting of saw blade teeth;
- selection of an inappropriate tooth profile;
- improper adjustment of the position of the spindle relative to the table;
- improper adjustment of the pressure of the pressure rollers;
- non-parallelism of the installation of the knives to the plane of the table;
- lack of fixation of the blade head guard;
- violation of safety rules when working on woodworking machines;
- excessive wear of replaceable liners to prevent chipping on the workpiece;
- insufficient tension of the variator V-belt;
- depressurization of the hydraulic system of the movement of the caliper;
- inoperability of the exhaust ventilation system;
- lack of proper care during operation.
When carrying out performance tests, an assessment of the compliance of the actual values of the main functional indicators with the passport characteristics, as well as vibration diagnostics of electric drives, shafts, gearboxes, bearing assemblies with a study of the degree of physical wear of individual assemblies and assemblies of woodworking equipment is made, which makes it possible to timely identify incipient defects in bearing assemblies, gear wheels , equipment foundation.
