The Forensic expert kollegium conducts expertise of all types of consumer goods.
A feature of the furniture quality expertise is the possibility of its production at the consumer's place, with the exception of bench tests.
When carrying out furniture expertise at the consumer’s, the latter is obliged to provide full access to the object of expertise from all sides (with the exception of built-in furniture). The time of departure of furniture experts to the consumer is agreed between all interested parties (between the seller, the manufacturer, the supplier, the installers and the consumer).
In case of failure to provide access to the experts of the Forensic expert kollegium to the premises where the furniture is installed, due to the fault of the consumer, the applicant for the expertise pays for the departure of the experts in proportion to the time spent. Expenses in such a case may be assigned to the party, through whose fault the experts were not given access to the room where the furniture was installed.
During the expertise of custom-made furniture, it is necessary that, along with the application for the expertise, the design and technological documentation agreed by the parties, according to which the furniture was made, will be submitted.
When questions on the study of the strength characteristics of furniture elements are raised during the expertise, in order to reduce the time for the production of the expertise itself, it is necessary that the parties give written permission for the partial destruction of the objects of study.
Glasses (mirrors) and fittings are specific objects of furniture quality expertise. Expertise of glass elements of furniture and fittings is carried out in order to study the operational characteristics of glass as an integral part of a furniture product and the causes of failures in the operation of furniture fittings (hinges, brackets, guides, etc.).
Typical questions to be answered as part of the expertise of furniture:

- Are there any defects in the furniture to be examined, including hidden ones?
- When did each of the identified defects appear: during the production of furniture, storage, transportation, during installation (assembly), during operation?

- in the sidewall, the seam is ripped in the place where the details of the armrest are sewn;
- there is a small drawdown of the soft elements of the back;
