The Forensic expert kollegium carries out noise certification of elevator equipment:
- when commissioning new residential and public buildings;
- after repair work on elevator equipment;
- in case of contamination of the elevator shaft or malfunction of elevator equipment during operation of the building.
In the latter case, noise measurements from elevator equipment are carried out at the request of both legal entities and individuals. Measurements of noise from elevator equipment are carried out at the Forensic expert kollegium by specialists in the field of acoustic measurements.
When commissioning new residential buildings, measurements are taken in the living rooms of apartments located on the first and last floors in each entrance at the shortest distance from the elevator shaft, with the least amount of internal enclosing structures between the elevator shaft and the living space. When commissioning new public buildings, the number and location of control points are determined depending on the functional purpose of the building premises and the their explication.
A necessary condition for carrying out noise certification of elevator equipment is the complete cessation of all construction work in the building and in the surrounding area during acoustic measurements. During noise certification, the customer of acoustic measurements assumes the following obligations:
- neutralization of all main sources of noise except elevator equipment;
- ensuring continuous operation of elevator equipment on the required floors.
- If it is impossible to ensure any of the above conditions, the customer of acoustic measurements will pay additionally for the repeated visit of sound level experts.
When ordering noise certification for elevator equipment, the customer must indicate in the application:
- type of building (residential, public, industrial);
- number of floors and entrances in the building;
- number of elevators in each entrance.
Before each series of measurements, all sound level meters are calibrated. All measuring instruments of the Forensic expert kollegium used in acoustic measurements are included in the State register of measuring instruments of the Republic of Belarus and have undergone proper state verification in accredited laboratories of the State standard of the Republic of Belarus.
