The Forensic expert kollegium conducts polygraph examinations of dismissed employees for:

  • committing theft of material assets (tools or equipment components, valuable items prepared for write-off or held financially liable by colleagues who continue to work);
  • making dubious money transfers before dismissal for the purpose of stealing and framing the employing organization;
  • committing theft of information constituting an official or commercial secret of the employing organization (personnel and client databases, design results or scientific developments, know-how, protected intellectual property, etc.);
  • creation of loopholes (backdoor) in the security system of a secure computer network for subsequent secret access to data or remote control of the employer's computer (computer network);
  • encryption of important documents for the employer in electronic form, databases or blocking computer access to the resources of the employer using a crypto-resistant password or using special tools in order to extort money for subsequent decryption.

For effective polygraph testing of dismissed personnel, it is necessary that the employer provide at least two strategies: for dismissing an employee who planned or committed illegal actions against his employer, and accordingly for an employee who is not involved, repentant or having the intention to compensate for the damage caused to the organization. In other words, it is necessary to ensure that the dismissed employee, in addition to the criminal or administrative liability provided for by law, has a motivation either not to commit illegal actions, or frankly admit to committing them. As in the case of internal investigations in case of emergencies, it is unacceptable to give the polygraph examiner and dismissed employees knowingly false (impossible) promises, otherwise the effect of examination may be reduced to almost zero.

It should be noted that polygraph tests of dismissed personnel are not carried out in relation to persons who have contraindications for a polygraph examination.

Polygraph examinations of dismissed personnel can be carried out both at the Forensic expert kollegium and in the premises of the employer, provided that these premises comply with the minimum requirements for a polygraph examiner's office.

The Forensic expert kollegium is the first forensic institution in the Republic of Belarus that provides services for conducting special psychological examinations (tests) using a polygraph, which has successfully passed the certification of the management system for compliance with the requirements of the new version of the state standard STB ISO 9001-2015. Polygraph surveys are conducted by certified forensic experts and polygraph examiners.
