The Forensic expert kollegium was the first of the forensic licensed institutions of Belarus to start providing polygraph screening services for privately hired non-business employees (domestic staff), both during hiring and during periodic monitoring.
Polygraph examination at the request of a private employer, as a rule, is carried out in relation to employees who, by virtue of their official duties, have access to the personal property of employers or pose a potential threat to close relatives, primarily children and elderly parents due to their certain helplessness. Usually, polygraph examination at the request of a private employer is carried out in relation to:
- personal bodyguards;
- nannies, educators, governesses;
- nurses;
- personal drivers;
- personal secretaries;
- housekeepers, maids;
- cooks;
- gardeners;
- sports instructors, etc.
A special psychophysiological examination using a polygraph while hiring domestic staff can prevent the employment of an employee with criminal intent or an employee planning to work in favor of business competitors (criminal gangs) and allows you to identify:
- intention to collect information for the purpose of blackmailing or unethical personal enrichment;
- tendency to steal;
- if the applicant has alcohol, toxicological, drug or gambling addiction;
- the presence of excessive debt obligations, including those of criminal structures;
- the presence of a criminal record, the applicant being under suspicion (accusation) of committing a crime;
- the degree of the conflict nature of the applicant, the inadequacy or the presence of problems in communicating with children;
- the presence of mental abnormalities in the form of a tendency to pedophilia, sadism, nymphomania, fetishism, etc.
Periodic polygraph examinations of domestic staff is an effective prevention of:
- theft;
- child abuse or irresponsibility;
- violence against the household of the employer;
- espionage activities;
- defilement of food, clothing, household items;
- trying on or wearing host clothes, including underwear;
- sexual relationship with one of the owners (household members);
- intentional sabotage;
- unauthorized use for personal purposes of the property of the owners.
Conducting screening examinations of domestic staff on a polygraph while hiring allows a private employer to weed out in advance persons with illegal intentions or mental disorders, to reduce several times the occurrence of emergencies and incidents related to personal safety, health and psychological comfort of households (close relatives).
The Forensic expert kollegium is the first forensic institution in the Republic of Belarus that provides services for conducting special psychological examinations (tests) using a polygraph, which has successfully passed the certification of the management system for compliance with the requirements of the new version of the state standard STB ISO 9001-2015. Polygraph surveys are conducted by certified forensic experts and polygraph examiners.
