The Forensic expert kollegium conducts expertise of all types of electrical household appliances.

The most common washing machine defects are:

• non-compliance of the washing modes with the declared by the manufacturer characteristics and requirements of the technical regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Belarus;
• failures of washing machines due to failure of the electric motor, heat and electric heating element or programmer (control relay); 
• inappropriate speed of the drum of the washing machine during laundry spinning;
• destruction of the elements of the lid of the washing machine;
• warping the lid of the washing machine;
• leakage of an aqueous solution due to leakage or valve failure;
• increased vibration;
• high noise level;
• excessive power consumption.

The most common causes of washing machines malfunctioning are:

• improper assembly of the washing machine;
• improper repair of the drum or drive of the washing machine; 
• use of low-quality heating elements and programmers (electronic relays) by the manufacturer;
• violation of the rules for transporting washing machines;
• improper installation of washing machines (non-removal of transport bolts, unacceptable deviation of the washing machine from the horizontal level, installation of the washing machine on a surface of insufficient rigidity, connection of the washing machine without grounding);
• improper operation of washing machines (excessive loading of the washing machine drum, an attempt to wash items (carpets, shoes) that are not intended for washing in this machine, the use of unacceptable chemically aggressive substances in the washing process).

Automation of measurements on the universal test bench at the Forensic expert kollegium allowed to significantly reduce the time spent on the production of expertise of washing machines, which led to a decrease in the cost of production of expertise by 1.8 times.

The vast majority of washing machines presented for expertise contained manufacturing defects. At the same time, we want to warn the unscrupulous consumers: the experts of the Forensic expert kollegium have unique expert methods for identifying any defects, both production and operational.
