Based on the expert practice of the Forensic expert kollegium, the following household appliances and radio-electronic devices are most often submitted for expertise:
- cell phones;
- refrigerators;
- televisions;
- food processors;
- vacuum cleaners;
- washing machines;
- bread makers.
When submitting household appliances to the Forensic expert kollegium for the quality of the goods expertise, it is necessary to present a complete set of operational documentation (passport, manual or instruction) supplied with the goods.
Household appliances and radio-electronic devices are allowed to be presented for expertise without the manufacturer's packaging.
When consumables are used in household appliances during their operation, the seller, manufacturer, supplier or their representative must provide a set of new consumables.
Typical questions for the resolution of the expertise of the quality of household appliances and radio-electronic devices:
- Is there a defect in the form of (description of the defect) in the presented model (product model) of product produced by (manufacturer) with serial number (serial number of the product)?
- Are there any defects in the presented model (product model) of product produced by (manufacturer) with serial number (serial number of the product)?
- If there are any defects in the presented model (product model) of product produced by (manufacturer) with serial number (serial number of the product), what is the reason and (or) nature of their occurrence?
- Is the faultless operation of the presented model (product model) of product produced by (manufacturer) with serial number (serial number of the product) possible, according to the provided operational documentation?
In questions submitted for the resolution of the expertise of household appliances and radio electronic devices, it is preferable to indicate specific defects, since otherwise the expert is obliged to assess the full compliance of the product submitted for expertise with the requirements of technical regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Belarus and operational documentation, which will entail an increase in cost and production time of the expertise (in some cases, the cost of such expertise may exceed the cost of the product itself).
