The Forensic expert kollegium conducts all types of forensic commodity expertise in both judicial and pre-trial proceedings, with the exception of food products expertise.

The main objects of forensic commodity expertise of industrial goods are industrial products and agricultural products. Within each of these groups, five classification categories may be distinguished:

  • Power equipment - products used for the generation, conversion, and transmission of energy;
  • Technological equipment - products used for the manufacture of goods, provision of services, preparation of documentation, development of software, and creation of intellectual property objects;
  • Lifting and transportation equipment - products used for moving material objects;
  • Information equipment - products used for obtaining, storing, processing, and presenting information;
  • Inventory - auxiliary industrial and household products, such as containers for storing liquids, devices and packaging for bulk, piece, and packaged materials, devices and furniture used to facilitate production operations, office and household equipment, and agricultural tools.

Issues addressed during forensic commodity expertise of industrial goods:

  • Does the submitted technological equipment (submitted industrial goods) constitute a complete set in accordance with the operational (design) documentation?
  • Does the completeness of the submitted technological equipment (submitted industrial goods) comply with the specifications of the supply contract?
  • What is the model (type, kind) of the submitted technological equipment (submitted industrial goods)?
  • Do the submitted industrial goods belong to the same model (kind, type)?
  • What is the functional purpose of the submitted technological equipment (submitted industrial goods)?
  • Is it possible to use the submitted technological equipment (submitted industrial goods) for its intended functional purpose under the conditions of … (special operating conditions are specified)?
  • Does the use of the submitted technological equipment (submitted industrial goods) constitute use for its intended functional purpose?
  • What are the actual values of the following quality indicators of the submitted technological equipment (submitted industrial goods)?
  • Does the submitted technological equipment (submitted industrial goods), in terms of specified quality indicators, comply with the requirements of technical regulatory legal acts (design, operational, or repair documentation)?
  • Does the quality of the submitted industrial goods comply with the certificate of conformity (reference sample)?
  • What is the degree of physical wear and tear of the submitted technological equipment (submitted industrial goods)?
